As of March 1, 2024, the Quality Debt Collection Services Act (Wki) comes into effect. This includes the Quality Debt Collection Services Decree (Bki).
This decree covers the following topics:
- Competence of debt collection employees
- Clarity of the claim
- Interaction requirements and provision of information
- Organization of activities and administration
- Complaints handling
- Registration obligation
- Management, enforcement, and supervision
- Amendment of the decree for extrajudicial collection costs
The decree is still pending as a consultation request with the Council of State and has not yet been definitively adopted. Once the Wki comes into effect, Payq Incasso is ready to comply. If you have any questions about this, please contact us.
